When you visit Valley of the Nile, be sure to see all the sights. If you can find them...
Find the Lost Tablet of Karnak.
The Tablet of Karnak is hidden somewhere in Valley of the Nile. Finding it will reveal the sequence of heiroglyphics that can be used to upgrade your avatar to Deity status. Deities can do all kinds of interesting things.
Sit on the Throne of the Sphinx
Somewhere in Valley of the Nile is a magic chair that allows anyone who sits on it to speak with the voice of the Sphinx.
Find the Oasis in the Middle of the Wasteland
When you stray too far from the Nile, you'll find yourself wandering in the wasteland. The wasteland is the only place in Valley of the Nile where there are no trees--except for the Nile itself. Once you enter the wasteland you'll find it hard to leave, and it's a very dull place. In the center of the wasteland is an oasis with water and a few trees. If you walk in one direction out from the oasis and keep going in that direction, you may be able to escape from the wasteland quickly.
Enter the Great Pyramid
It's not easy, but it is possible to enter the Great Pyramid. And once you get there, you'll find you can't get back out the way you came in. You may also find a pharoah's treasure hidden there.
Encounter Ra
If you visit Valley of the Nile often enough, sooner or later, you're likely to meet the falcon-headed Deity, Ra. When you do, be sure to be nice to him. If he likes you, he may choose to tell you about deeper mysteries that lie hidden beside the Nile.
Look Out for Anubis
Ra's polar opposite is Anubis, the Egyptian jackal-headed god of death. In general, Anubis is bad news and it's best to avoid him. Unless you think he might be your type.
The best thing to do in Valley of the Nile is to explore it with others. Before you enter, invite a few friends to join you there.
